We Rely on Your Support

The Mother Teresa Maternity Home receives no government aid. We are able to function due to the generosity of those whose support us. Your donations will make a lasting difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable in our community.

Baby Steps Monthly Giving

Our Baby Steps Campaign provides the Home with much needed ongoing financial support. This is critical to cover monthly operating costs needed to run the home. You may choose any amount that meets your budget.

More Ways To Help

There are many ways to help the women at Mother Teresa Maternity Home. Gifts of talent, time and resources are welcome. The following list is an example of ways those in our community support the home.

Gifts for the Home

We have an Amazon wishlist that is updated regularly. Through that, generous folks have been able to gift items like sheets and blankets, car seats, layette items, furniture, winter gloves, slippers, office supplies, pajamas for both Moms and babies, and so much more! There are gifts both large and small on the list which can assist residents and the program.

We love being able to give residents the opportunity to choose clothing and baby items for themselves or help them with necessities. Target, Amazon, Ross, TJMaxx, Shell, Arco, Safeway, Savemart and Walmart are all super useful local stores. The autonomy of being able to shop for items each woman chooses herself is a huge boost in confidence and positive outlook!

Job prospects for residents – Finding employment while pregnant can be difficult. If you have a business that is looking to hire someone new, needs a temporary worker, or offers internship opportunities try sending the info to MTMH! We may be able to pass it on to the perfect candidate while she is living here.

Do you have a skill you are able to teach that might be useful to the residents? We are compiling a resource list of mentors, tutors and teachers, both for life skills opportunities and for fun. Could you guide someone through their subsidized housing search? Can you teach a group to paint watercolors? Are you a yoga instructor who might like to introduce our residents to your practice? Are you an expert in post-pandemic resume-writing?

The unsung heroes here at MTMH are our relief staff. We have an All-Staff meeting once a month. If you’d like to bring a treat to these terrific folks, call the Home Director and get a head count and a date!
